Join Us In Lifting a Moral Voice Though Taking Action in 2020!

As we enter the weeks that begins with the Solstice quickly followed by Chanukah, Christmas and Kwanzaa and Watch Night, we wish everyone a time filled with peace, ease, love and renewal. We will return with our invitations to Spirit Led activism in 2020. Thank you so much for all you do. Together we are strong!

In Solidarity and on behalf of the Portland Spirit Led Justice Alliance,

Rabbi Debra Kolodny

The Spirit Led Justice Alliance began sending our weekly Action Alerts on May 16, 2018.

For 19 months now we have sending out curated invitations to a growing list of faith-rooted activists to take specific action on intersectional campaigns – with the power to WIN!

And win we have! Looking back over the last 19 months, here are just a few examples:

Every legislative measure PASSED!

Several important new worker-led organizing drives: WON!

Multiple strong Union contract campaigns: SECURED!

Portland Street Response: APPROVED!

In addition, our coalition has prioritized lifting a moral voice for police accountability during White Nationalist rallies and with your help during our petition drive we secured a meeting with the Mayor’s office and the Chief of Police. On December 18 we will make clear that people of faith and good will say NO to White Nationalism and NO to false equivalencies with Antifascist organizers.

For the past year we have been generously supported by the Collins Foundation, Emily’s Fund, and Portland Jobs with Justice. However, most of our grant funding is set to end in 2020. To continue into 2021 and beyond, we are now looking to the network that has been assembling for your ongoing support!

If you believe in the work of the Spirit Led Alliance, in connecting the justice traditions across our region and moving people to take action, we are asking for the gift of your support.

We can maintain our current level of service to our community for just $15,000 a year.

With over 500 people in our data-base that means an average recurring gift of only $30 a year.

Please click here to set up that recurring gift today! (payments will be processed through our fiscal sponsor – Portland Jobs with Justice)

We know that not everyone can give at that level and some aren’t able to make monetary donations at all.

If it is in your budget, your one-time gift gift of $50-100 would be so appreciated.
