Spirit Led Justice Alliance *Action Alert* 6/4/19
As the legislative session comes in for a landing we are pleased to invite you to lift your voices to ensure that we address hate crimes more seriously in Oregon and move a stalled bill out of committee today!
We also have the opportunity to support a new effort to better welcome immigrants and refugees into Oregon this week and to show up for the workers at OHSU next week.
Together we can move Portland and Oregon forward into a more just, equitable and safe future!
Thanks so much for joining us on this Spirit Led Justice journey

Concerned about Immigrant and Refugee Rights? Attend the FindHello App launch on Wednesday June 5th!
New Relic. Downtown Portland 111 SW 5th Ave #2700, Portland, OR 97204 6-8pm
FindHello is a free app made for all immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers. The app helps connect people to the programs and services they need to succeed in the United States. This app is an accessible way to search for things like immigration help, familiar food from a country of origin, English classes, or healthcare!
Immigrants and refugees make our country a better place. We hope FindHello can help newcomers find things they need.
This celebration is a community event for FindHello App launch and it is free to the public. Attendees will need to RSVP on the website found by clicking here!
The event will share information about the App and we will have time for the community to ask questions. In addition, we are going to announce our new name following a ribbon cutting by Portland Business Alliance.
Advocate for An Important Hate Crimes Bill Before it Stalls Out in the Legislature!
Oregon lives at the top of the nation for per capita hate crimes, and that is unacceptable. It is a moral imperative that we move this legislation through to passage!
Join us in urging the co-sponsors of the bill to move this important legislation forward!

Support OHSU Workers Who Are Fighting for a Fair Contract!
OHSU is currently making record profits. And even though it is the workers who make that possible, OHSU admins want to increase employee healthcare costs, and are trying to hold back pay raises from employees in order to… pay for an audit to address pay inequities that management is responsible for creating!
If that wasn’t ridiculous enough, management has proposed moving to an unfair paid time off policy at the bargaining table, one which would cost workers thousands of dollars!
OHSU workers, who are part of AFSCME local 328, are holding a bargaining rally and are asking for the community to join them!
Join us in lifting a moral voice to support the workers on June 13 at 4pm at the main OHSU campus (3181 SW Sam Jackson Park Rd, Portland, OR 97239)
